Does the installed position have any effect on the range?
The system's range can be tangibly improved by optimally aligning the
transmitter and receiver. It may therefore prove well worthwhile to
determine by trial and error the best position in which to install the
receiver for the situation prevailing on site.
Reception can in many cases also be improved by installing the receiver components in a raised position (usually at least 50 cm above the ground), due to the greater attenuation of radio waves near ground level.
