Light Timer Switch DALI - Easy-to-install DALI-2 certified control unit with integrated power supply for converting push-button commands into DALI protocols (broadcast mode). General information
As a modern light timer switch, the UZS 3 offers a high degree of comfort, safety, and flexibility. By briefly or longer pressing the light switch (at B1 or Z1), you can choose between two independently adjustable time ranges for which the light should remain switched on. Pressing the button again turns the light off. The optional warning light function prevents sudden and unexpected switching off of the lighting (e.g. in stairwells). During the warning light phase, the next button can be easily reached to restart the running time. The UZS 3 can be conveniently installed in a control cabinet on a 35 mm top-hat rail and is compatible with any switch program.

How it works
The short/long runtime adjusters can be used to select between the following 4 operating modes:

1. Short and long runtime: Runtime set using the short and long-term adjusters.
   ► Switching from short term to long term is done by pressing and holding B1 (approx. 2 seconds)
2. Short runtime only: Runtime is set using the short-term adjuster. The long-term adjuster is set to OFF (AUS).
   ► Runtime can be set from 0.1 to 10 minutes
3. Long runtime only: A runtime is set using the long-term adjuster. The short-term adjuster is set to OFF (AUS).
   ► Runtime can be set from 5 to 160 minutes
4. No runtime (∞): If all adjusters (short-term, long-term, warning phase) are set to “OFF” (AUS), the runtime is infinite.
   ► Normal switch operation (Pulse/current surge switch operation)

Additional functions:
A warning phase can be activated with the adjuster if desired. Duration of the warning light phase: 10 to 60 seconds. It can be selected between pulsing warning light and dimming warning light.

Via the group inputs ZE (central ON) and ZA (central OFF) on the UZS 3 (rail-mounted), any number of UZS 3 can be switched on or off simultaneously, regardless of their respective status. Both inputs (ZE and ZA) react to positive edges and can therefore be overridden by B1 during the entire switching duration (e.g. as a motion detector input).
